Abstract: Present study is an attempt to assess the competency level of entrepreneurs belonging to handloom, manufacturing and agricultural processing units. Competency level as regards to administration, marketing, financial management, raw materials management and liaising capabilities are assessed. Data were collected from the entrepreneurs belonging to handloom, manufacturing and agricultural processing units. Questionnaire method was used to collect data. 150 respondents (fifty from each category) were contacted and requested to f i l l up the questionnaires. Data collected were analyzed by the ANOVA & Post-hoc test. Results showed that all the three categories of entrepreneurs have significant difference of variance as regards to the total competency index. Second, the results show significant difference among the three categories of entrepreneurs as regards to their competency relating to administration, marketing, financial management, raw materials management and liaising capabilities. Post Hoc test results show significant mean difference between handloom and manufacturing; handloom and agricultural processing; and manufacturing and agricultural processing entrepreneurs on total competency index.
